SPRUCE RIVER
Spruce River was a conceptual branding and web design project inspired by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The goal of the project was to create an immersive outdoor lifestyle brand that captured the refreshing, peaceful, and adventurous experience. Through visual storytelling, branding, and digital design, the project aimed to evoke a sense of escape, connection to nature, and appreciation for the outdoors.
The Process
The design process focused heavily on atmosphere and emotional connection. I began by researching outdoor travel brands, national park marketing, and nature-inspired visual identities to develop a cohesive direction for the brand. From there, I created a visual system centered around earthy colors, natural textures, clean typography, and scenic imagery that reflected the calm yet adventurous spirit of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I designed layouts and branding elements that balanced modern design with an organic, welcoming aesthetic while ensuring the website experience felt immersive and easy to navigate.
The Results
Spruce River became a strong example of my ability to create cohesive branding and digital experiences from concept to execution. The project demonstrates my skills in visual storytelling, branding, web design, layout composition, and audience-focused creative direction. It also showcases my ability to build an emotionally driven brand identity that feels both visually polished and strategically intentional.
